The twins have a new commercial promoting the new stadium where they are unpacking things, which is pretty funny to begin with, then they take a sox fan out of the truck and throw him back.

I thought it was pretty funny even though it's at our expense. Welcome to the outdoors chumps!

"Doesn't belong here"

They want to keep us at the dome any way possible.

So much for my 20 friends and me buying tickets for some games up there.

They don't want us.

Drove past Target Field over the weekend (was up there for the Illinois vs. Minnesota game). Stadium looks pretty slick - can't wait to see it in-person.

Good. Now when I go there, I will have a sign saying...
"I DO Belong Here!"

God I hate the Twins, somebody email Brooks to retaliate with our own commercial!

My idea would be to have two sox players taking BP when one of them notices a bad smell, then they find a pack of spoiled Twinkies on the ground, and the punchline would be, "Don't you know that Twinkies spoil when you leave them outside?"

...the punchline would be, "Don't you know that Twinkies spoil when you leave them outside?"Except everybody knows that actual Twinkies never spoil. They are made of polyester.

Thats an urban legend, they last 25 days at the most, they do eventually spoil just very slowly.

My Twin hate went down about 25% now that Gomez is gone.

It could be good luck. Before the 2005 season began they were running a commercial with a lady using a Sox jersey to mop a bathroom floor. We all know how that season turned out.

I once had twinkies at the twinkie bakery in Schiller Park, they taste like an actual bakery product when they come off of the assembly line

The Twins' ad wasn't even insulting, just an attempt to be cute on behalf of a team that really doesn't have any natural rivals.

That's pretty good. Hey, it's nice that they think that highly of us to include us in their commercial.

I thought it was pretty funny. Consider it a compliment that they used a SOX fan instead of the Tigers, Indians, Royals, etc.

As much as I hate all things Minnesota these days (Twins/Vikings/Favre), their fans IMO are the most polite and least obnoxious when they are visiting the Cell. I have seen fist fights with Cleveland and Detroit fans.

They actually complemented us. To me it said, "Damn Sox fans travel here in great numbers."

Ha! That was pretty funny.

All in good fun.

In all honesty, I think that nighmare of a dome was their best weapon. Glad to see it gone.

I totally agree. On this message board, some of their worst come out... but in person, I've always had a fine time with Twinkie fans at the cel. Cleveland and Detroit- when we're in a race with either- can bring some real d-bags.

It could've been worse. They could've had some ugly fat guy with tattoos and a mullet as the Sox fan. I was just glad they didn't use stereotypes... and I thought it was pretty funny!

Why? If they want to give us money to sign FAs, let them.

I thought it was a well done commercial. I'm all for good natured ribbing. And like others have stated, they consider us their main rival.

I personally thought Mauer wrapped in shrink wrap was hysterical.

Aren't rivalries supposed to be fun and not necessarily just mean-spirited? The commercial was made in good fun, so what's the big deal? Hardy har, har...

 I actually give the Twins credit for coming up with that clever commercial.

Funny, both groups of fans are excited for a new ballpark. How rare is that?

It's like when the 2000 team cliched the AL Central after the Twins had a walk off win.

bahaahaha! Mauer in shrinkwrap, Span and Cuddyer in a box full of plastic peanuts, and Nathan all wrapped up! His little "hi" is gold.

Wonderfully done, now its our turn to retaliate with our game in 2010.

I've actually had more problems with Twins fans at Sox Park than Tigers or Indians. My Dad was at a game against the Twins in September and he said he probably would have started a fist fight if my sister hadn't been with him. I also had an annoying experience at a game in April with some obnoxious Twins fans. My retort to them when they pointed out the Twins were winning the game was to point at the 2008 Division Champions banner and ask them why the Twins were so good at winning meaningless games in April but couldn't even score a run in a one-game playoff.
