this year, it's hard to believe we're only 6 back in the wild card in the loss column and 7 back in the division.
the tribe and twins playing seattle helps.

Playoff hopes remain the slimmest, but keeping the cubs and the indians sitting home for the holidays would be reaonable consolation prize. For all the ballyhoo about the indians, that would be 2 years in a row they sit - and with a team that's on its last legs.

Well if we have any shot at the playoffs we are going to have to beat the Indians and the Twins in head to head play.

We need to beat the Angels.

They are a good team with excellent pitching and are ahead of us in the wild card. Near a must sweep series.

With the kind of powerful lineup the Angels have I'm glad JB's Cub bashing in the NL. Glaus has been on an absolute tear so I hope we don't help him like we do Thome. We dealt with Ramirez fairly well?

I'm usually the local optimist around here, but in my mind I think we have been reduced to spoilers. I wish we weren't but we are. Ugh, lets go 'stros.
