contracts or if there is a strike, does minor league baseball also contract/strike? Serious Q as I have no idea - I'm not really a follower of Minor League Baseball. Both of these Q's are hypothetical (hopefully).

To some extent, there would be 2 fewer affiliation opportunity for minor league teams. Basically, out of the main sector of the minors, for each team eliminated, 6 teams would be eliminated (AAA, AA, high-A, low-A, and 2 rookie league teams). However, if the teams eliminated are in viable/good markets, other MLB teams would pick those up and drop their affiliations.

The short of it is yes, minor league teams as we refer to them would be lost (although most might be able to join an independant league)...
