Well, a decade in the books for the White Sox. Can you name the opening lineups from each year?

http://www.sporcle.com//games/U_God/chisox_opening_day

95/100 for me. Some good names out there for the early years.

That was a lot of fun! Everyone should try it. I sadly only posted an 85/100.

Of the 6 I missed I think I had trained my brain to forget that 3 of them ever played for the Sox.

Got a 94. Funny that 3 of my misses were Nick Swisher, Orlando Cabrera, and Dewayne Wise .

Other 3 were Herb Perry, D'Angelo Jimenez, and David Wells.

97/100. Not bad for me seeing as I didn't really start following the Sox until '03.

I'm glad someone posted this. WSI and the linked website, Sporcle, account for the vast majority of time I spend on the internet. :redneck

Got a 91/100... Erstad's the only one I missed 2004-2009. But he's just so easy to forget, isn't he?

98/100 man was that a brain cramper. I know my Sox though:D:
Ozuna and Herb Perry are the only ones I forgot.

I've gave up after 9:01. Had to disqualify myself after looking at this thread and seeing an answer I didn't know. Got 97/100, but should've gotten 98. I didn't know Herbert Perry had to be "Herb" in this. I forgot about Lofton and Ozuna.

I got a 98/100. I missed Lofton and Wells. How do you miss Wells? He's huge.

Missed Chris Singleton, Craig Wilson, Willie Harris, Darin Erstad, Pablo Ozuna, and Nick Swisher.

Got the same score and missed the same guys except for Swisher. I didn't get D'Angelo Jimenez.

Damn 99/100. I couldn't remember the 06 CF. Total brain fart of BA. I guess I don't miss him much

You only needed to provide last names. I realized this after the first few.

I somehow remembered D'Angelo and forgot Swisher. Wish I'd have forgotten both of them.

I got 98/100. I missed Craig Wilson in 2000. I kept thinking it was Greg Norton or Chris Snopek. I totally forgot about Craig! I also missed Willie Harris in 2004. Total brain cramp on that one.

Exact same thing here, I was confused as I believed Pods had started in center for some reason. I don't even have any memories of Craig Wilson

Funny how we forgot the first two in the batting order in 07, Ozuna and Erstad. No wonder why that team sucked! :redneck

I scored 96. I missed the CF and 3B in 2000, and LF and CF in 2007.

Hats off to Mark Buehrle for making it easier on me :redneck

90/100. I can't believe I forgot Ozuna, Swisher, Royce Clayton, and D'Angelo Jimenez. Although, that wouldn't be a bad thing either, lol.

For little game. Thanks for posting this.

I got 97/100 in just under four minutes.

I was completely stuck on who started at 3B to open 2000. I kept thinking it was Norton since we acquired the Milkman in mid-season. I tried Konerko there, but I knew that wasn't correct (although PK played 3B and Norton played 1B in the first week or two of the season). The other two that slipped my mind were Pablo in LF to open 2007 and Kenny Lofton in 2002.

Lofton got me too. Damn his wrong side of 30 when we got him self.

98/100, but I saw Craig Wilson on the first response to the thread. I would have never gotten him, so I really got a 97/100.

I didn't realize Ozuna was on the 07 opening day lineup. Ozuna, Erstad make for wonderful tablesetters. I can't believe that team didn't win more games!

I had totally forgotten D'Angelo Jiminez too.

88 out of 100, wait, I probably shouldn't have posted those results... Pablo Ozuna 2007, how could I forget?!

Some how I missed Royce Clayton and Nick Swisher. I also missed Lofton, Jimenez, Mark Johnson, and Craig Wilson. After seeing the answers I'm pretty upset that I missed more than Johnson and Wilson.

For those of you not challenged by 2000-2009, try 1980-1999:

http://www.sporcle.com/games/U_God/chisox_lineups_2

Got 116/200 (though the quiz maker had a typo, so it should have been 117). But I'm too young for more than half of these teams (born in 1985, didn't start following really closely until this decade), so I'm not too upset. Missed some that I definitely should have gotten though, most notably Raines, Franco, Fordyce, Law, and Kittle. (in white to avoid spoiling it :redneck)

I expect some 180's and 190's out of you guys, though!

1989: Gallagher, Pasqua
1990: Sosa
1991: Sosa
1992: Huff
1995: Devereaux
1996: Mouton, Tartabull
1997: Belle
1998: Belle, Caruso, O'Brien, Mags
1999: Baldwin, Caruso, Mags

I got an 88 out of 100. I can't believe I missed Sandy Alomar Jr.

It took me awhile to figure out who was catcher before AJ. Basically anybody other than AJ is easily forgettable :D:.

Truth be told, I thought Brook Fordyce caught in 2000...Until I looked at the 2000 White Sox poster I have up here in my office and saw Mark Johnson there! I didn't want to cheat, so I didn't look at my poster while doing this. I DID remember Mike Sirotka with about a minute to spare...I kept on thinking either James Baldwin or Jim Parque started opening day in 2000.

AJ has made any other catcher in my following days (other than Fisk) forgettable. I think he will go down as one of the best catchers in White Sox history for all of the intangeables he brings to the game.

I got 97/100. Forgot about Craig Wilson, Kenny Lofton, and Wee Willie Harris.

I was stuck on 97 for like 2 or 3 minutes at the end, and suddenly pulled out kenny lofton and pablo ozuna from nowhere. But dang you, D'Angelo Jimenez!! I stared that that 2B slot forever and had nothing, so it was a 99/100 for me.

I got a 52/100, I forgot Konerko, Pods, AJ, and Frank Thomas (to list a few.)

Kidding! =P I forgot what I got, but all that really matters is I got all of 2004-2009 right, the rest were all guesses.

97/100 for me. What really got me confused was when I typed Alexei Ramirez and he showed up in CF for 2008. I was thinking that the game was mistaken. I totally forgot that he ever played centerfield, that seems hard to believe.

I got 141/200 on that one and since I was born in 1982, I am astonished.
