I think I'll actually watch the World Series now. They'll have to run on a 10 second delay though.

Naw. The White Sox aren't playing, so he will be able to remain objective on the outside. Inside, he will be plotting the 2010 World Series......

Should be a good time for all. Looking forward to it!

Looking forward to it.

Pretty weak article, mostly consisting of Ozzie's various bleeped tirades.

Good news indeed. It will be interesting to see what Ozzie has to say.

It says he will also do reports in Spanish, so perhaps you can hear him during the game by hitting SAP. Should be interesting.

Can't wait to hear him say some jabs at Mark Grace. Ozzie's a perfect fit in a network like Fox. Now with Chris Rose and Ozzie, the Fox pregame show may have a more frat-like atmosphere. But as long as they don't add Tom Arnold, it'll be all good.

My first thought was, I hope it's in Spanish.

His English, shall we say, is not ready for prime time. :D:

I hope that Ozzie mentions multiple times during the broadcasts, "When my White Sox are here next year, we're going to win this thing!"

If NY does get in, I'd pay good money to hear his comments about Swisher!

It'll be worth it for the possibility of the Swisher comments alone.

Any chance Ozzie can do play-by-play instead of pre/post-game analysis?

Now THAT would be worth tuning in.

Too bad Ozzie's not the live coverage. He would redefine the role of Color Man.

Ozzie has said(2007) he loves the Yankees...IIRC that he would like to manager the NYYankees, without Swisher of course

This I absolutely agree with. Two of the loosest cannons in their respective sports on T.V is a definite win. I have enjoyed watching the TNT post and pregame shows as if they were episodes of a T.V. show shown regularly. I expect that Ozzie will be very very fun to listen to, if we understand him that is :).

Well ESPN seems to have production assistants who are quick on the hands. I don't know about Fox.

I probably won't watch the actual games, because there's too much good hockey on nearly every day, but I'll definitely have to tune in to the pre- and post-game shows, because listening to Ozzie always provides comedy.

I'm hoping and praying that somebody asks him about Nick Swisher's "resurgence." That might push him over the edge. It will probably sound like a test of the emergency broadcast system. BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEP! BEEEEP! And then the screen will go blank with some producer screaming "CUT TO COMMERCIAL!!!" in the background.

I'll be tuning in!

I think what would be real fun is if he loses train of thought and starts going on rants about Linebrink, Lillibridge, Bacon which 90% of the U.S. would not get. It would be like an inside joke for us. Also, maybe Swisher can be caught watching college football in the clubouse and open that can of worms again.

I've been enjoying Ozzie during these broadcasts. And I have to say; as a Chicagoan I'm getting a kick out of half the four-man team being Chicago players/manager. Mark Grace was a guy I respected as a player; and Ozzie representing the Sox.

Too bad we have to put up with the reject from the now-defunct Best Damn Sports Show; but hey, its not all that bad.

It is gray and has been for a while. He catches a lot of grief in Venezuela for coloring it.

They asked if he wanted to change his series prediction (he picked Phillies in 6) and Ozzie said, "I never doubt." When further prodded he said, Phillies in 10.

I didn't know that. I thought I recalled a convo I heard on 670 with Ranger (I think) and Cowley. both raved what a great head of hair he had and he didn't do anything to it.

That's funny right there.

I think doing the Fox analysis for the 09 World Series, being close to the action of the top two teams in MLB has lit a fire in Ozzie.

Go 2010 White Sox!:bandance:
