With Carlos hitting his 20th HR and he now has 54 ribbies its a shame he was out for so long. Based on 550 at bats he would have projected to 32 HRs and 88 RBIs, could have been enough to win this lousy division this year, especially with all the low scoring games we lost by a 1 or 2 runs.
Carlos, please stay healthy in 2010.

PS Meant to capitalize TCQ.

Nell:

The issues with Quentin are injuries and that he beats himself up mentally when he's not going well making it worse.

Maturity and experience will solve the second issue but if he's simply "unlucky" (aka Jim McMahon) it doesn't matter how much talent he has if he can't get on the field to show it.

We'll just have to see. I don't think the organization even considers moving him yet but they'll be keeping a close eye on him for the future.

'What If' is the biggest reason 29 teams do not win the World Series every year.

One of my buddies swears Carlos is awful because he can't stay healthy. I disagree but he does have a point of this guy having freak injuries every year.

Why can't he stay healthy?

This is pretty much why I think he should be our DH going forward. It will keep him healthier, and its not like he brings much to the D anyway. When healthy and mentally right his bat is a way too important thing to risk to injury

Question for you doctors. Can his foot be fixed by surgery? What is the best thing to help this?

freak injuries are one thing, but in may cases the answer to fewer injuries is better general conditioning

Too many (unrelated) injuries were the knock on Jermaine Dye when the Sox signed him in the '04 offseason.

Good thing Kenny ignored the "experts."

I would be fine with having him as the DH. I love his bat, but it does us no good in the training room.
