Just saw this on the site. Some Sox fan who's married to a Cubs fan  won a contest to have a man cave built. Looks like it's going to be pretty sweet! I'll be tuning in (as soon as I find the DIY channel lol)

It actually airs Tuesday 9/29 then again on 10/26.

The guy (winner) was at the last home stand & throw out one of the first pitches. That's when they announced the show would premiere 9/29.

I wouldn't be surprised if she still thought Sammy Sosa was on the team.

Love the sig. Before the 2005 WS, that was the greatest moment in New Comiskey Park,IMO. Ventura's game ending grand slam off Goose Gossage capped an unreal month for Ventura in July,1991.He was the player of the month.God, I wished July never ended that year.

Based on what information would you say that?

BTW, the man cave is fantastic. Can I get a similar "woman cave"?!

No, it says something about the Cubs. It looks like the last word on the first line ends with REE! and it has "CUBS" as the last word on the second line.

It looks like it could have come from this (http://www.customsigngenerator.com/wrigley-field.asp) but the text is more like the text in the photo you posted. Perhap it is a photoshop job or maybe the Cubs put something up for the show.

Either way the show would be much better without that ass Siragusa.

Care to share pictures and an explanation of what is in there?

I know for my future Sox mancave, I hope to acquire a Frank Thomas pinball machine. Looks like there is one on eBay right now, but I would have to go out to California to get it. Hopefully one is still around in 1.5 years when this assignment is done.

If you click on the link there's a video that shows some of what is inside. This is actually his garage and they still wanted to be able to park a car inside... sooooo the White Sox edition pool table actually drops into the ground! It's awesome if you ask me!

If they had built me a man cave, here would be my only request:
Get that sCrUBS **** outta here!! I would gladly share my White Sox man cave with the Phillies,
Dodgers,Cardinals, anything but the North Side Loo-sahs.

The Cubs stuff really ruined it for me. I understand his wife was a Cubs fan but c'mon. Maybe if they put the Wrigley sign with : Congratulations Chicago White Sox. Otherwise the pool table was cool with the hydraulic lift.

I thought it was cool, but I'm not too sure about doing all of the work in a detached garage that looked like it wasn't insulated or heated (unless I missed it). I can't imagine he'll get much use out of that room in the winter time.

If you can beat that White Sox-logo black felt pool table that pops out of the ground and goes back in, my hat is off to you.

So what? It's a BASEBALL man cave, not a Bears one! Summertime, baby!

What I didn't get about the pool table is the reason it lowers into the floor. It's not covered, so you can't walk over it. Is it simply to park a car above it? He better be careful pulling into that garage! One inaccurate pull-in and his wheel in on the pool table!

I dont have the diy network(not included in my condo's directv plan), but from the photos i saw, looks like they tried to use a lot of items that are currently on sale though mlb.com. the sox pool table comes to mind.

I had always thought that a pool table that lowers into the floor would be a great for a game room. You could lower it when not playing and have that much more room to entertain, etc. Your right though, in the garage with no cover could be tricky. He should at least cover it to prevent oil from ruining the felt.

They had covers. They were steel pieces that locked in above it. At one point in the show you can see Harold Reynolds carrying one of them. Otherwise that would be very unsafe to walk in at night with no lights on.

After watching the show last night, I could never imagine pulling a salted-up, snow stuck in the wheel wells, winter Chicago car into that garage! It looked great, however I doubt that will ever be a true garage again. Time to call Danley! :D:

I agree with you. I was hoping for more Sox memorabilia. I believe my Sox Girl Cave is much better than the Sox Man Cave. Although I would like to have the Sox pool table but theres nothing wrong with the pool table Ive got.
