I was on the WS shop and saw they now have the 1959 Turn Back the Clock jerseys listed. $159-$179. Odd that the Thome version isn't discounted, but it doesn't have a name on it so maybe that's why.

None of the 1959 throwbacks should have names on them, as the Sox didn't have player names on their jerseys until 1960.

FWIW, the throwbacks they wore this year were a disappointment. I'm pretty sure I wrote a nice diatribe about it at the time, too.

After the spot on throwbacks of 2005 these ones were a huge disapointment.

Giant numbers and bright red and white instead of the more cream colored ones that 2005 had.

It can't be THAT difficult.IIRC, the '59 uniforms from '05 were outfitted by Mitchell & Ness, who did 'em up right. The ones this year were made by Majestic (who makes the rest of their uniforms), and they always seem to screw up something pretty fundamental. In this case, almost everything.

Yep; spend the extra bucks and get a Mitchell and Ness. I did (or at least my wife did,) and mine's beautiful. The one you linked is a Majestic, and it's way too white.

M&N definitely do them better, but if you don't want to pay double it's a nice option from their other unis.
