I guess it didn't occur to him to use a word processor.

How anyone could misspell Shawon is beyond me.

It's on file with the bankruptcy court in Delaware. The Dow Jones reporters have contacted him for comment. It's legit.

Shawon Dunston must be one of the nicest guys ever. When I was a kid, I would send baseball cards in the mail for him to sign. He always signed as many as I put in there. Looking back, it was kind of taking advantage, but I once sent fifteen cards just to see what would happen. He signed them all. That sure is his autograph at the bottom of the letter. I guarantee that.

I'm completely confused? He is objecting to this indicating he wants to be paid but then he says he doesn't want any money?

Does he not have enough money to hire a lawyer to submit this in a professional manner?

Hearing his name brings back memories of my teenage days when I would argue with Cub fans about whether Dunston or Ozzie Guillen was a better SS.

Yeah, I don't get it either. The clause says they'll pay for his tuition if he ever goes. He never went, and says he wants nothing from the Cubs, and if anything he owes them money.

I was joking with my friends last night that instead of his batting average, you could use the Shawon-O-Meter for his G.P.A.

He has to be getting an MLB pension that should provide him decent income for the rest of his life, so even though he's broke, he should still be able to survive.

Even so, how do you not just to to a library and print this out?

Dunston made $25 mil over his career, and unlike the average NFL lineman was not virtually disabled by the age of 40. If he's broke, that's his problem.
