Stress fracture in his back, he has been shut down.

He has been in a severe slump since allstar br8k batting .200 and 2HRs, batting below .100 this month. Finishes with 30 HRs and 100 Rbi

br8kThe "e" and the "a" just too much for you? Besides, this would be pronounced "bratek."

I thought it was a typo except that the "8" key is nowhere near the "e" key. I guess the OP is too emotionally worked up to type properly.

I feel bad for Morneau, he's a hell of a hitter.

With that said, now I hope the Twins lose their remaining games, exept those against the Tiggers.

That's not too much to ask for, is it?

That just shows how much of a tear he was on in the first half. To be garbage since the AS break and now out and still end up with 30 and 100.

I still think Dye is hurt and they're just not saying anything.

Why do you think that? Harrelson always is squawking about Konerko being bothered with this and that. I would think if Dye had injuries he would say that also.

I would think if Dye had injuries he would say that also.Because of his reaction on a couple of missed swings when the Sox were in the Metrodome a couple of weeks ago. He doubled over in a way that initially looked like frustration, but then I realized he was pressing his forearm in against his side, like he was holding his ribs or his oblique muscle. Bert Blyleven commented that he thought Dye was favoring an injury.

Ah, The observant eye of a former law enforcement officer. I will watch more closely tonight.

I've also noticed JD doing this from time to time. An oblique injury could explain his troubles with pitches on the outer half of the plate. If he is favoring a sore side, it would make it difficult to lean out and get your arms extended on a pitch to the outer half.

Makes you wonder about Dye

Comparing Dye and Morneau is not even close. Dye is MUCH older and has been in a decline for the last couple years. Morneau has been MVP material up till the second half of this year. I doubt Dye's problem is an injury
