That sucks. I'm honestly surprised he got on base.

He wasn't actually on base... he was running to first base, shortstop bobbled the ball so maybe he thought he could get his first basehit and pushed it a little hard, ran through the bag and come up limping and nearly went to ground.

I do feel bad for Jose but it's hard to stay healthy in MLB when you are 45 years old.

I think this has more to do with it than his age, as by all accounts the guy is in phenomenal shape.

I'm sad for Jose. Like Hurt, his body's giving out before his skills.

I continue to be amazed at KW's luck at unloading players before they get seriously hurt.

The announcers thought that after watching the replay it might have been much less serious than an ankle or knee problem and was a cramp or pulled muscle. According to this release, it's a strained quad:

It is a very hard injury to recover from. A strained quad could keep him out for a while, although their medical abilities to tend to it on a daily basis are far greater than mine. If only I had Herm here!

If only I had Herm here! :smile:Yeah, I'd probably be further along in my recovery if I could have physical therapy more than two or three times a week. However, my guy already puts some serious pain on me; I've heard that Herm is the prince of pain. I probably coudn't take it!
