Last week we went 3-3 while Detroit went 3-3 and Minnesota went 5-2. That's no games lost in the standings to the division leader and 1.5 games lost to 3rd place Minnesota.

I've been saying all along that if the Sox are 1-3 games back on September 1st I feel confident about our chances.
Of course it would be nice if we were actually in first place instead. :redneck

This is arguably the most important week of the season. If they keep pace with Detroit through this grueling stretch, then they'll have a good chance. If they sink, then it's over.

Keep it positive for as long as we're in it! We all know this team isn't playing great right now, but pissin' and moanin' isn't going to do anything but give you an ulcer. Think Peavy, Dye and Konerko busting out of slumps, and anything can happen!
