In my expert medical opinion, he's done.

Unfortunate for him, but I can't say i feel bad for the Twins.

I don't root for injuries...but when Liriano looks more like a YoYo than a Johan, I smile.

He used to be unhittable too.

Yeah, he was better than Johan for a short period of time.

So now the Twins call up a rookie that we won't be able to hit, and the one guy we did good against this year is done. Great.

Pitching woes taking care of Minny, now we can just take care of business and take care of Detroit.

Liriano had one of the best sliders in baseball in 2006. He's been far easier to hit since his return. He'll probably never be the same again, not that I'm shedding any tears about it.

For all of their success at player development and drafting, Minny's front office doesn't make the greatest trades in the world. Since the Nathan trade, they've made some real howlers and haven't made successful small deals to help either.

The official reason is "fatigue in his left arm."

Apparently getting lit up by the Rangers will do that to you...

I remember the ROY "Verlander vs. Liriano" talk during 2006.

A guy can only turn around and watch so many times before you need a breather.

He was good once. Not any more.

I saw him pitch a few times this year. He still has good stuff, but he has had control issues and is still trying to learn how to pitch without a 96 MPH fastball and without using his slider as much. From what i've seen? They would be better off moving him to the bullpen for awhile.
