Wasn't Hopper part of a deal awhile back? Nats maybe?

I don't think the Sox will call up much. Too many players makes the clubhouse uncomfortable. Maybe a couple of pitchers.

I think you may be right.

I think that Torres will be up at some point.

I had no idea that the Sox sent Ward and Hopper to the Nats.

It's not your fault. I blame WSI posters for being too lazy to start an appreciation thread. :redneck

I doubt Flowers will be called up. They will call up a backup catcher, though. Fields will be called up, though. Lillibridge would be on the list, of course, if not for diaabling Getz. They might call up another player with speed as a pinch-running specialist.

There will be pitchers, but I won't speculate there.

Do we get to see Dayan Viciedo?

Does a Sept call up count towards ML service time? I would guess yes, but who knows with the way some things are set up. Basically, if someone like Flowers gets called up, does the clock start towards arbitration?

I would guess it's not going to effect their arbitration years, thats why Wieters, Longoria, Beckham got the publicity at the point they were called up because that is the time in the season where it could effect your arbitration clock!

Guys like Flowers and Hudson are not on the 40-man so they likely won't get called up unless somebody gets removed off the 40-man for them.

Lillibridge will be back to pinch run. And a third catcher.

How about we sign Frank Thomas. PH him in blowouts and if he does well use him as a RH Ph and let him retire a White Sox.

I actually think this will happen (no sources).

Minimal investment, zero risk. At what point do you bring closure to his career and with his Sox' connection. I think the timing is perfect.

Maybe Viciedo.
Lillibridge.

I'm not too familiar with roster management and how changes effect things, but Cole Armstrong is on the 40 man already. Is their a reason to not switch him with Flowers?

Maybe Jose's spot on the 40 man? ( half teal):(:

Anybody, I noticed that a few players, pitchers were called up played and then sent down. What is the rule on the callups and playing in the post season. How long do they have to play on the 25 man to qualify for the post season. SAy if Flowers is called up in September and not being on the 25 he wouldn't qualify. Lillibridge, nunez, Torres, who qualifies What is the rule? Thankyou for your replies
