He was up for one game, and was on the bench last night.

He was in the dugout yesterday. Ole number 18.

This is not good. Lillibridge will be out of options soon meaning he will be stuck on the roster and Nix will have to be sent down next time.

I know that you're being sarcastic, but only one option is used per year and a player can be recalled and sent down as many times as needed during the year and not have it affect the options that a player has. Also Nix is out of options as well.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I haven't been sad about a player that ran out of options since Kelly Dransfeldt.

He actually was in Chicago the day before. If Ramirez had to go on the DL, Lillibridge would have taken his spot.

Nunez is the last hope on that Swisher deal right?

Good move. With Jenks being out and the bullpen having to throw all nine innings last night, they are obviously a little short pitching-wise for the rest of the weekend. This helps.

We already won the Swisher deal: Addition by subtraction.

Exactly. They actually should be okay. Thornton didn't pitch Linebrink only pitched one inning. Williams can do the Loogy thing and free up Thornton for late inning work.

Hopefully the Sox offense blows it open early...

To me he was the crown jewel of the Swisher deal and I believe a steal.

Yeah, the two lefties and Linebrink should all be ready to go. Nunez just provides a little protection in the case of something unexpected, like a rain delay that causes Danks to have to be removed from the game early.

Don't know what the weather is on the South Side right now, but it is raining here in North Aurora.

Nonesense.

That's not "winning" a deal.

Michael: What does that even mean, it's impossible. Addition by addition.

Agreed, but Nunez is the only player of the haul we recieved that has a chance to affect the ML roster.

You must have missed it when I explained how options and service time worked a few years ago.

I wouldn't count out Marquez yet. He's having a rough year, but he could do better next season. Lefty starters don't grow on trees.

Nunez could end up a very good bullpen guy.

And what's up with the cracks on Lillibridge? He's doing pretty well in AAA and still could help the Sox in the future.

Isn't Lilliibridge a decent fielder? That by itself might warrant a roster spot.

Hey, at least he was able to load up on free peanuts throughout all the plane rides between Chicago and Charlotte.

I think he's just a career minor leaguer - probably 34 or 35 years old.

He was called up when Colon went back on the DL.

Last appearance came sometime in 2005 is what Hawk said during the Twinkies game where he was lights out versus Mauer, Morneau, and Kubel.

So far,so good as a situational lefty. Better than Gobbler.

Jeff Marquez (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Marquez) throws right-handed. Unless he's amphibious and can throw both righty and lefty.

Maybe he's gonna start pitching in an underwater league and the ability to breath underwater without having to surface will turn him into a major stud.
