View Full Version : According to Cowley, Bobby Sent Home Sick

Cowley tweeted twice in the 9th first saying Bobby was not at the ballpark. The second tweet said Bobby was sent home with a sickness not explained.

Here is the address: http://twitter.com/cst_sox.

I would think keep speculation to WTS or RH.

(Mods move to postgame thread if you see fit.)

It would be awkward to have him in the pen and not closing.

1) They don't trust him
2) He is getting traded
3) He is actually sick.

33% chance

Talking about it on the postgame, lets wait for someone to ask Ozzie.

Who gets to him first: Levine, Merkin, Gonzales, Cowley? Taking bets now.

"Family reasons" according to Pat Boyle on White Sox Postgame... he is not traded according to Boyle. Watch Ozzie's press conference. Gonzales' twitter account quoted Ozzie as saying Bobby "has some issues."

You've got it all wrong, guys. The big deal going down is not Bobby being traded. They're bringing back Best's Kosher hot dogs. :bandance:

If it truly is a family issue, this could possibly explain him lately. Ala Contreras with his family situation when he came here.

Maybe.

My friend just texted me and said Ozzie stated Bobby will be back tomorrow?

Ah, yes. That could be it. If this is so, I wish him nothing but the best and hope he works it out.

I had one in April and I couldn't hold down food for 3 days. :(: Most pain I ever experienced. Get well soon, Bobby!

Gonzales updated again, said Jenks has kidney stones. OUCH.Wonder what kind? Citrus or calcium. My dad has both, he's a masochist I guess, as he keeps them all. I guess my pop's left kidney is made out of stone mostly. Hope it's nothing genetic for the big guy and a freak incident. Get well soon Bobby!

Given Bobby's past, I really hope that kidney stones are all this is. Here's hoping he's back tomorrow and firing bb's.

This might explain why he's been so bad his last couple outings. I couldn't even imagine pitching with kidney stones acting up.

I've never had them but 90% of the people I have met who have had them described them as the worst pain ever. If you can pitch through that you can really pitch through anything.

Yeah. My mom said it's a bit like giving birth. Usually I think she's dramatic, but she was doubled over in pain for several days. I felt really bad. She ended up passing them herself by drinking a ton of water and cranberry juice.

Come back soon, Bobby.

Ive had them twice and was rushed to the hospital as they passed. Thank you Morphine! MY GOD thats a pain Ive never felt. Starts out in your back/kidneys and works its way into your abdominal region.

If Bobby has these he can elect to have them surgically removed which is a process i dont want to go into. Involves entering an area not meant to be entered. Or they can pass on their own. Just as painful but compared to option one I'll take every time.

I've had one and it was simply the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my life. Fortunately it passed within 12 hours.

Get well soon Bobby. I have had some very painful things, but I don't want to find out where kidney stones ranks in comparison.
