I wonder if he'll throw out the opening pitch to himself at tomorrow's game...If anyone's capable of doing that, it's BurlyMon.

Not as impressive as Kerry Wood week.

Oh, wait ...

Seriously, Mr. Buehrle deserves it. Take that all you people who label pitchers with numbers and question whether he is a true ace.

The fact that he set a record for consecutive hitters retired obviously tells you that no one ever came back from a perfect game by going through the lineup nearly twice before allowing a baserunner.

The fact that he had so much trouble with the Twins his third time through the order (without much help from the defense, but the defense had been equal to the task the previous 14 innings) stresses the enormity of the feat Mr. Buehrle accomplished last week. To face a good hitting team a third time and continue to just mow them down ... awesome stuff.

Where did this "BurlyMon" thing originate from? I'm not a big fan. I wouldn't particularly enjoy someone adding "mon" to the end of my name either... "Rohanmon" that sounds better than Burlymon, but it still sounds weird...

Oh! Now I get it. Well i'll still probably continue to call him by his actual name :D:. But now i understand.

Either way. I'm glad Quinn has decided to give Buehrle some recognition.

Awesome! When was the last time a Sox player was honored as such?

Yah same here. I'll just wear the jersey out, as I did last week.
