That's a tough way for him to go out. At least he got to 300 wins though...

Well the article says he is likely to return in September, but I doubt he will be any good. He was already getting shelled before he left.

If this is the end of his career, I don't think this is the way he wanted to leave the game. Nonetheless, he's accomplished everything a pitcher can accomplish. I think the time is right for him to hang it up.

It's time for him to hang em' up. There's nothing left for him to do except give his Hall of Fame speech.
This is unfortunate. He wasn't even the third best pitcher on the Giants staff, but he was the second best among their former Cy Young pitchers.
He had a shot at going back to the World Series this year, being part of a team that could make the postseason with pitching that could shut people down.

Pretty amazing that he could still throw at all at his age the way he whipped that ball up there...good run for Randy.

I really hope he would be able to come back. I'd really like to see the Giants get the NL Wild Card.
