Makes no sense to me why an in-expensive guy like this would be moved by the Tribe. He is only making about $500k.

He'll get a nice raise through arbitration. He's eligible after this season. It saves the Tribe some money while making room for LaPorta.

Agree wholeheartedly. Hope this isn't it for the Giants.

He also sucks.

Your definition of suck is completely different from mine.

Dwayne Wise sucks.

Ryan Garko is an OK ML player by my standards. Not great. Just OK. Career .280+ hitter with an OPS of .800+ and only making $500K. Far from suckage there IMO.

Yeah, he'll probably be the Giants 2nd best hitter behind Sandoval, which speaks more to the dearth of their offense than anything else.

For a 1B, Garko sucks. If he played C, SS, or CF, his numbers would look a little better.

Still, he's a better hitter than anyone else they have, outside of Sandoval.

Will he play 1B for Giants? Who's he replacing? What ever happened to Rich Aurillia?

Rich Aurelia's still in the league?
Good deal for the Giants. They get a power hitting bat at first base. I assume they didn't have to give up much. Buehrle and Danks breathe a sigh of relief.

Dwayne Wise sucks.

:o:

He earned himself immunity from such talk, thank you very much.

Hahaha, just kidding...mostly... Anyways, nice acquisition for a club that really needs an upgrade. What happens to Ishikawa?

Excellent!!! He had a .343 career batting average against the Sox with a .920 OPS. Get him out of our division!

Aurilia's on the DL with a toe infection. Plus Rowand tore a muscle in his throwing arm and can't play the field for a while and they need to shuffle guys around on defense to cover.

They also got an excellent prospect.

It's obvious the Indians priorities are not with this season.

The Giants have such a weak lineup that just getting average hitters helps them out. If they can add another hitter or two they might be dangerous if they win the wild card. I wouldn't want to face that rotation in a short series.
