I want to purchase several Tribune frontpage prints with significance to the White Sox. So far I have:

October 27, 2005: Believe it!

October 31, 2008: White Sox win Blackout Game

July 24, 2009: Buehrle Perfect Game

I'm wondering, when Buehrle had his first no-hitter, did it lead on the front page? They don't have it readily availiable to see before you purchase it.

I just looked at my sun-times and the no-hitter had a part of the front page but the entire back page(sports side).

My favorite 2005 front page was "Somber Sweep".:D:

Good question. I remember that I picked up the red eye that day and they just had a little blurb about the no hitter. But the main story that day was the shooter in the Virginia Tech shootings.

Yes, there was a good sized color photo on the front page of main section as well as the full front page of the sports section.

They had the front page from that event on the set of Chicago Tribune Live when it still had its old set. It showed Buehrle celebrating with the headline "NO DOUBT" above it.
