I saw that and will definitely watch. I thought they'd wait until they play at Yankee Stadium, though.

I guess this guarantees us having our A-lineup out there on Monday.

Monday? Arent they suppose to be in Minnesota on monday?

I'm thinking the same thing.

Oh wait, I know what is going on. MLB wants the Twins to get ready for outdoor home games in a new stadium, so they have to play some home games at Yankee Stadium! Sweet! This means we'll win!

Since Mets and Rockies are playing in NY on monday, it looks like those three must be being traded to one of the 2. I will take Santana.

Yeah. They'll probably appear via satellite.

In other late night news, Conan led with Burls on last night's Tonight Show. The perfect game was the set up, not the punchline (duh) but it's nice to see the recognition.

Somebody can find the clip. It's at the top of the monologue.

It will be on Hulu.com. I just checked and Friday's show is not there yet. I imagine it will be soon.

Yeah. They'll probably appear via satellite.

The show is taped in the afternoon and they do 10 tops a lot by satellite. So, I think you are correct.

Very cool that DWise and Josh get to participate as both were huge contributors to the big feat.

The three they showed were moronic. Buehrle looked like he hated saying them. LOL.

It's being taped at the metrodome. There is a blurb in the trib and they showed a picture of him there filming.

So, I never watch these late night shows. Approximately when in the show do they do the Top 10?

Usually between 10:50 and 11:00, I believe.

To the best of my knowledge this is the 2nd time a member of the Sox has been on Letterman.

About a week after the labor impasse of 1994 started, Frank Thomas was a guest. It was a good segment that eventually saw Letterman have him hitting different sized pieces of fruit off batting tees.

I've got it in the library, may have to rewatch it tonight.

Leno had a great opening but awful with the softball interviews.

Letterman is the reverse.

Pretty good list. I wondered when Josh and Dewayne would appear. I know in the past, lines featuring more than one person were usually #6.

I'm actually surprised there isn't more complaining. Usually when one of our guys gets national attention it isn't good enough.

In more important news - Spinal Tap is on Fallon tonight.

Indeed, but when was the last time you saw ANY baseball manager as a guest? Maybe Joe Torre, but that's it.

Baseball's what he does best. He hasn't made too many national TV appearances. And the probably teleprompter contributed to his nervousness, too. He's got a good deadpan delivery, though. :redneck

P.S. I agree that some of it was painful.

Burls (and Fields and Wise) were great.

But yeah, Letterman is still not funny. He was great to watch in the early years on NBC back around 1986/1987. But then he started to believe his hype and not only lost his sense of humor, but developed a massive ego which took the fun out of the show because he was not objective about how well he was doing.....

When Letterman is on though, he still can be a riot. Look no further than the Joaquin Phoenix interview from a few months ago.

Been out of gas comedically for a decade, still a great interviewer.
