Hey Jerk I mentioned this first in the post game thread. :redneck:tongue: As I said in there, this is my favorite overall moment from the day besides the actual moment of course.

This moves the Phillies back to my 2nd favorite team. It's a longgggg ways down from my love from the Sox but I love the Phillies and Giants from the NL. Giants sans Bonds, that is.

I like the Phillies, but probably for different reasons (they share the same city with my 2nd favorite football team). I think this just is totally classy of them to be that into it right before a game of their own.

the Phillies are probably like my 14th favorite team

Who wasn't rooting for Buehrle? Even Cubs fans were in Kass' article.

It's good to see MLB players being fans of baseball. Gave me a warm fuzzy, to be brutally honest.

...my Cub-loving brother-in-law for one. He watched the last inning with me after I told him Buehrle was perfect after 8 innings. After Wise made the catch for the first out, he implied we "got lucky". Yep - luck had a lot to do with him running full speed to the wall and timing his jump perfectly!

After the final out, he was pretty ho-hum about it indicating, he just can't get into the SOX. I asked if he could get into baseball or does his love of the game stop after the Cubs game is over?! This was only the 18th time in MLB history this has happened and the first time for the SOX since 1922. Not sure if the Cubs even have one. He then countered with Zambrano's no-hitting in Milwaukee or Wrigley Field north.

He is aware of the difference between a no-hitter and a perfect game, right?

I hear alot about the Phillies because I live halfway between Baltimore and Philadelphia. ALOT of my friends as well as my fiance are Phillies fans. This doesn't surprise me not one bit, the Phillies have some really stand-up guys in their clubhouse especially Victorino. The flyin' Hawaiian is a good player and a pretty good guy to boot.

That was pretty much my reaction to Wise's catch too.

I haven't seen it anywhere - but a large number of the Rays stayed up on the first step of their dugout after he got the 27th out. That was fairly cool.

Not sure if the Cubs even have one.

They are a "fat rookie jack-ass umpire" according to Milt Pappas, away from having one.

Right. And I'd be rooting for Zambrano if he were perfect through 7, 8 innings.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere either but Farmio did mention it on the radio.

That video was cool. Glad someone captured that moment.
