So I'm a collectibles enthusiast, and today's game got me thinking...thusfar, I haven't gotten into collecting tickets, but I'm thinking I may pick a few of the best White Sox games ever and try to find a ticket for that game. What are the top 10 games/tickets you would collect (if you were into that sort of thing)? Doesn't necessarily have to be a White Sox home game.

These are all too recent. How about games in 1959? Or 1917? Or 1906 when the Sox beat the Cubs?

Of the thousands of games in White Sox history, it would be hard to imagine today's game wouldn't be prominent. Games 2, which Mark Buehrle started, and 4 of the 2005 World Series, Game 163, games played for higher stakes that were in doubt until the last pitch would be higher. Probably Game 3 as well, which wasn't over until Mark Buehrle said it was over. Game 2 might go on the top of the list of all-time great Sox games.

But there have been a lot of forgotten games since 1901. Charlie Robertson's perfect 2-0 win over the the Tigers in 1922 was remembered by some today, and will probably be remembered in tomorrow's game notes in Detroit.

But I would include September 19, 1972, when the White Sox beat the A's in Oakland-Alameda Coliseum to pull within four games of the best team in baseball (on the verge of winning its first of three straight World Series titles. It was 8-7 in 15 innings. both teams scored two in the 13th. Goose Gossage got Reggie Jackson to pop out with men on first and third and one out in the bottom of the 15th after a Jorge Orta home run again unbroke the tie. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to catch the A's.

I'm sure most people who have followed the Sox recall similar great games.
