Hey all, I rarely post threads, but just noticed something today when I was looking at some of the guys stats this season.

Mark Buehrle has thrown a lot of HRs this season. If he stays at this pace he'll give his 2006 record a run (36). He's at 17 now and last season and the season before he only gave 22 the entire year. Just thought it was weird. Anyone see any reason to it?

Maybe it has something to do with him hitting a HR at the Brewers this season haha.

He's given up a lot but it doesn't seem to have phased him too much, he only has 3 losses and his ERA sits at 3.52.

Agreed, but if he's giving up a lot, he could end up giving up some big ones down the line in this close central race. I'm just worrying haha.

He's been giving them up in bunches. I'm not too concerned.

Whilst his HR/9 are up, his Hits/9 are much lower than the past few seasons, his walk levels are about normal and on pace to match his 2005 season. I'm not too worried if they are solo shots, Burls is pitching well (Apart from the last start in the dump) overall
