But, but, but I read he was done two years ago on this very message board.

Seriously, what a great night for Thome. He seems to be the only player who can hit one deep enough to center to hit on or near the fan deck. He doesn't just hit homers. He hits long ones.

He would have given Prince Fielder a run for his money in that home run derby.

No way, DeWayne Wise had a near perfect night! No recognition!

Dewayne was the only White Sock to not get on base tonight.

How about the Alexi sacs in Beckham twice small ball effort. The bags had White Sox on 'em all night long, cept after big Jim's two towering ABs

I was at the game.

There were some plays where I did not think even Mapquest could have helped Wise out. He looked that lost in Center tonight at times.

Disclosure: I am not a FOBA, nor am I saying BA should have been in there. All I know is that there is a 99% chance that Wise will be gone in 2010.

I hate how we have to say things like we aren't FOBAs just to get it across that Wise is god awful.

Wise sucks, end of discussion.

I hope there is a 100% chance Wise is gone next week when Quentin comes up.

There are 29 other teams that would LOVE a guy like DeWayne Wise.

Are there really 29 teams in the Northern League?

Back on topic: I brought this up in the game thread, but wanted to post it here for discussion: Does anyone think the Sox would re-sign Thome to go for 600 HRs next year? He easily could reach 570 this year, and thus he would just need 30 next year to reach that lofty plateau.

It's sad that there is even a 1% chance he will be back.

It would be nice if we could but he's hinted he'd love to figure out how to end it with the Tribe

I hadn't heard that. Is that something he's hinted at recently?
