That is really unfortunate for him. He was such an important part of that 2005 bullpen. I hope his career rebounds.

Short of Bobby, none of the key guys from the 2005 bullpen have ever duplicated their successes. Sometimes, a good bullpen is a collection of guys who simultaneously catch lightning in a bottle.

He was still popping 94 mph earlier this year, and with a bum flipper?

Neal just stopped throwing strikes after 2005. He just can't command the ball anymore.
