According to Ozzie, the draft schedule for next season has the Sox playing at the Nationals and at the Marlins.

Interesting, I was just thinking the other day when the last time the Sox played the Mets or Braves (Exhibitions in ST don't count obviously)? We Could see one of them considering it looks like the sox are playing the NL East.

Braves 2004 in Chicago, Mets 2002 in Chicago.

Well, it should be easy to get tickets...

Me too. It's about time the Sox played the Nats. That hasn't happened since they moved to DC in '05. Even better that the games are here in DC.

Well, I was going to DC anyways next year, now I know when I will go.

Awesome. Easy to get seats and easy to get here with United flying practically hourly to National or Dulles from O'Hare, and now Southwest flying to Dulles from Midway.

Let's start organizing the tailgate at RFK now. (There's free parking at the nats/skins former stadium, still home of DC United and shuttle buses running constantly to Nats' Park).

It's a great stadium that grows on me every time I go there. Can't wait to see the Sox there!

DC might be a nice little road trip to take with the family to go see all the historic landmarks.

Miami?

Not so much. Crappy hot humid weather during interleague play to go with a very crappy stadium.

I liked the way they did it in the early years...one division matches with another and then you rotate the divisional matchups each year. You can't do that perfectly, but to the extent possible, I think it's the way to go.

But then we wouldn't play the Pirates four years in a row! :redneck

I added the word "tentative" to the thread title to make it more accurate.

I would like to swap a Cub series every year for one with the Brewers or the Cardinals.

Miami, huh?! If that's during Spring Break or summer vacation, a trip to visit my friend in West Palm might be in order so we can road trip down to Miami to see the Sox! :bandance: Yeah, Dolphin Stadium is a dump and I've already been there, but who cares?!

Unless you have spring break in the middle of May, you'll have to hope for it to be in June.

I've been wanting to go to DC...Maybe this would be a good time if the funds are there.

I completely agree. I'd love to see us play the Brewers and the Cardinals regularly. I don't see any reason to play the Cubs six times per year....a single three-game series would do it for me.

I wish they could keep the Cubs/Sox six games...and have 3 games vs Brewers every year also...9 games fixed, and then 9 games spread around.
Cardinals are too far away for easy travel like the Brewers.
Regional rivalries are great.

Living outside of DC (thanks to a set of post command orders years ago) I'd buy tickets for all the games against the Nationals....

Tip if you're going to Nationals Park: Don't bet on Teddy Roosevelt in the Presidents' Race.

Can't wait, great ballpark.

I've actually heard that Pittsburgh is again on the schedule next year. I'm completely serious.

Again?! Yawn. Maybe this is MLB's way of guaranteeing us three victories....

Wow. Any word on the sixth series assuming the other five are @Cubs, @FLA, @WAS, vs. Cubs and vs. PIT?

All I've heard is no Phils, no Mets. It's strange, if this is true, that we'll be entering year 14 of interleague play in 2010 having only played the Mets in one series. Then the mystery team, I assume, would be the Braves?

NL West in 2011? I would like another @ SD game. We had a series in 2005.
