This is hilarious. Padres left fielder Kyle Blanks walked off the field as a swarm of bees starting moving in. The game has been delayed now for what has to be about 20 minutes. They are mostly concentrated around the jacket of the 3rd base ballgirl.

The Astros announcers have been great. They just put up an Aflac trivia question of "Is it a good idea to use a plastic bag & duct tape to catch bees?" They are doing bee trivia and after giving the answer to how long bees have been around (hundreds of millions of years), the one announcer cracked "about the last time the Cubs won a World Series."

Better than dogs...or dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you

Top of the 9th with 2 outs. The game is pretty much over, with the Padres trailing 6-1.

There is a beekeeper on his way to the ballpark now.

That was funny.
The Astros announcers are absolutely first-rate. Good temperment, don't overly hype the team, don't get too down during bad time - they do a really professional job.
Astros are playing really well.

Yeah, they've quietly been playing good baseball lately. I wonder if they are going to go on one of their patented 2nd half charges?

I guess they played a "Bee" game at Petco yesterday.

As long as Mike Hampton and Russ Ortiz keep pitching well!
It's going to be tough for them, but they have a competitive team, and have had for most of the last 15+ years. You tear them down, like the BP sages suggest, they'll get 15K to games, cut budgets and never get it going again
