Well Hanrahan can't hit the broad side of a barn and we all know about Milledges problems.

Morgan is having a great season up until this point, so it appears the Pirates were trying to sell high on him. I just don't know if a return of Hanrahan and Milledge is accomplishing that. :scratch:

Pirates = clueless.

Milledge is bad, injured and has an attitude problem. Hanrahan lost his job to MacDougal.

Yeah, I don't know what the Pirates were thinking here.

Then again, does anyone know what the Pirates are ever thinking?

From all the reports I've read about this trade, the Pirates seem to have been thinking about upside at this point. A lot of people seem to think Milledge and Hanrahan still have a bunch, while Morgan is already 29 and might be solid if unspectacular for a few years. For what it's worth, Milledge is a meathead but he's only 24 and is extremely talented. If he behaves and someone stays on his ass, he might still turn out to be pretty good. The trade they made with the Braves a few weeks ago had me scratching my head a little bit, only because of the return they got. This one makes sense to me from the perspectives of both teams.

I don't get this trade from either perspective. I guess it is about what you would expect from the two worst organizations in the league though.

This trade raises one big question: how will it affect Morgan's stirrups?

Pirates and Nats...the toilet paper following the crap down the toilet bowl.

If Milledge turns it around, IF, then I think the Pirates will win this trade.

He needed to get out of Washington because he was in the permanent ****house there. It's all up to him now assuming he'll be an everyday starter.

Milledge still has tons of potential. Everything I've read has the Pirates winning this trade.

How excited was Morgan when he found out he was going to be traded away from the cellar dweller Pirates? "You're going to the Natinals"..... :angry::angry:

Milledge still has tons of potential. Everything I've read has the Pirates winning this trade.

And if he finally does find that potential, they'll trade him away. It's a neverending cycle with that franchise.
