Interesting list... glad to see no Frank Thomas. But I wouldn't say I trust this list at this point. It's definately interesting to look at. Names like Contreras, Ordonez, Freddy Garcia, Derek Lee, Soriano, Zambrano, Prior, Wood... none of those suprise me. If this is the list, I'm not suprised at any of the names on here.

I don't buy it for a minute. The first two names on the list were leaked to Selena Roberts of SI.com and the New York Times, both reputable news outlets (at least SI.com is, draw your own conclusions about Selena Roberts). Now they're going to leak the entire list to some random blog, and it's just "floating" around the internet?

I recognized every player on that list. Where are the 24th and 25th or the 13th man on the pitching staff that we do not recognize?

Exactly. People want big names, but for every Alex Rodriguez there are 50 Carlos Almanzars.

Vernon Wells is probably the only surprise IMO on that list. Everyone else, is not much of a surprise, given their career histories.

Maybe it's actually the list of players no longer allowed at the Wendy's in Westmont.

I noticed this too. Besides that, Jason Grimsley, who has admitted to being on the list, is glaringly absent.

While going through that list most every player you can make a place for, I would say 80 percent of the names are legit and the other are wrong.

Exactly. Didn't Armando Rios appear on the Mitchell report? Why wasn't his name on this list if it was true. Also, I'm sure the AP, SI, the NY times, or ESPN would have printed this list if they thought there was any truth at all to it. Heck, as far as I know, the NY Post hasn't even printed it. It's most likely internet rumor mill and nothing more.

This has yet to be confermed by a major news outlet however it is interesting to look at.

Mags, Sandy Alomar, Bartolo Colon were sox at the time

Freddy Garcia, Jose Contreras and Carl Everett were not playing on the southside at the time but were listed.

It's a crap list. If it's the same list I saw elsewhere, I saw only ~25 pitchers. Given what we know about admitted failed tests, the ratio should be higher.

I think baseball should release an anonymous list showing only the positions and service time. That way people can truly get an understanding on how pervasive this is, across all levels, meaning veterans, stars, and marginal players, as well as pitchers and hitters.

I wouldn't put much stock in this list. It might be accurate to some degree based upon the "even a broken clock is right twice a day" premise. I saw that Jeremy Burnitz is listed twice.
