How did we get the #1 Fox crew and not New York? Did Joe Buck and Tim McCarver get demoted?

Well for one, the Subway Series is on MLB Network right now.

The Yankees/Mets game wasn't on Fox, surprisingly.

Buck was afraid Artie Lange would say more bad words if he went to New York.

I would guess the Scrubs website....I hate listening to the biased announcers on FOX like Buck-o.

That's not likely considering he's a St. Louis guy.

You could have fooled me today. But your right. I had totally forgotten that his Dad Jack was a play by play guy for the Cardinals. So that would only make sense.

I didn't see the live Fox broadcast, but I watched the Podsednik homerun clip on MLB.com. As he was rounding the bases, it didn't sound like Buck and McCarver made any mention of Pods' walkoff homer in the '05 Series. Since both guys were there and called that homer less than four years ago, it seems like it would be a natural...since Pods homeruns are such a rarity.

Please. I get the antipathy for New York. It's a Chicago board. But the ratio of women to men is 52 to 47. The ratio of straight women to straight men is even bigger. I grew up visiting Chicago as a teen and adult. I've lived in New York for six years. The women are not better looking in Chicago. It doesn't come close in terms of diversity, career, persona, etc.

Next time you visit, I can prove it.

Fans naturally think the national announcers are biased.

I don't care for Joe Buck myself. I think he's fine calling the game action, but tries to be funny when he is not. I can assure you of one thing. He has no love for the Cubs.

I went to a lot of summer baseball games in St. Louis growing up, I always loved hearing Jack Buck call games. Just a great announcer.

His son...just not in the same league. I'm not a fan and will be glad the day there is a new national announcer.

I get the Red Sox/ Braves game down here. I just hate Fox! This blackout is bull****. It always happens on the best game of the series too.

Are they still charging for highlights? Last year they were free, there was a fee this year and I haven't checked back.

We got the Braves RedSox game down here.

Every time a situation came up they had to remind us how bad the Sox are. Jason Nix pitch-hits: The Sox are 2-44 with no RBIs pitch hitting this year. Jenks comes in in the 9th: Jenks is 0-1 with an ERA over 6 in Non-Save situations this year. AJ is batting .144 in the last few years against the Cubs.

Good point. The validity of the 2 idiots calling the game:
In the words of Dean Vernon Wormer in the movie "Animal House",
"Zero point zero."

Seriously. I don't understand why people get pissed off at networks, announcers, reporters, etc. for reporting facts. I could've told you, without looking at any stats, that Bobby was rather so so in non-save chances, and pretty damn in save chances. Maybe we are too used to Hawk being the company apologist...

Did you guys get upset when they pointed out Ramierz's mental errors?

Well, AJ had a big two RBI single and Bobby went 1-2-3 in the ninth in a tie game...

Besides, it's not like Buck and McCarver are digging up those facts on their laptops during the pitching change. It's the guys in the truck who put up the graphics.
