Great way for Beckham to come back and atone for his error in the third. He's got a lot of poise and heart and did not let that get to him. He came up big in a big game. Plus, he singled and went on to score the tying run in the 8th. This kid is really going to be good.

And then they play it after each hit or walk he gets...It's kinda grown on me.

What's really bothering me is trying to figure out the country song Fields came up to bat to early in the season. I thought it sounded a bit catchy for a country song, and he hasn't come up to bat to the song in at least the last few home stands. Does anyone else know what the song was?

Gordo...way to stay inside that fastball...was praying he would look the other way.
Pods..you animal...what's with the flyout in the 8th?:D:

Thank God they pulled this one out.
Tomorrow should be epic..Danks the bulldog vs BigcraZee.
AJ redeemed himself today...nice job.
DWise showed up...cool.

And JD ...solid. PK gave a couple good ab's..
Team effort.

You're watching on satellite television. Signal goes a long way. If you have a DVR hooked up to the television, that is also a delay.

Your 10 second estimation is about right.

It never seems to be like this when games are on CSN, WGN, or WCIU. Just Fox.

I was on the phone with a friend who was watching on cable and she was about 5 seconds ahead of me (I have Directv with a DVR). This happens all the time.

Also, there is a delay from the get-go on radio and television in case a fan yells out something "bad." I learned this when I was talking to friend while I was at a game and she was listening on the radio. She said there was a delay on the radio.

That was a fantastic game by D-Wise. He got on base, even stole one, rifled a triple to center, and laid down a perfect sac bunt. We don't win that game without him.

I agree.

IMO, a nickname needs to fit the player. "The Bull" worked for Greg Luzinski because he was a big strong beefy guy.

"Gordo" for Beckham kind of reminds me of "Ryno" for Sandberg. "Gordo" and Ryno" seem to imply big strong beefy guys. Sandberg was not, and neither is Beckham.

DirtySox

I think Beckham's haircut is from the 80s. He might very well be an 80s freak.

Just as long as he's an 80s freak who can play baseball, that's OK with me.
