True, especially after the Chuck Finley/Whitesnake fiasco a few years back.

No brainer. "One Toke Over the Line"--Brewer and Shipley.

If they use the Lawrence Welk version, that should make Torn Labrum very happy! :D:

For the newbies, here it is again. Enjoy!

"Just Dropped In to See What Condition My Condition Was In" by Kenny Rogers

It was either that or "Kicks" by Paul Revere and the Raiders

Those two songs plus Bob Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" would all be good candidates.

This was the first song that popped into my mind.

You couldn't play a song like that(Because I got high) at a game, though. Or Cypress Hill, etc. I'd go with something like "Smoke Gets in your Eyes", as previously suggested.

Everybody Must Get Stoned by Dylan.

A good idea, but as a Dylan fan, I must correct you here.
The song you are thinking of is "Rainy Day Women # 12 & 35".
Still a good idea,however.

May I add a few?

"Eight Miles High"- The Byrds
"Day Tripper" - The Beatles
"Hi Hi Hi" -Paul McCartney & Wings
"That Acapulco Gold" - Rainy Daze
(a true obscure 1967 oldie for you there)

I'm sure more will hit me later.

And a blast from the past, from the 'Easy Rider' soundtrack.

"Don't Bogart that joint, my friend, pass it over to me"

Holy Modal Rounders, I believe. Real obscure.

Just about anything by Bone Thugs or Snoop Dogg would do the trick.

But my personal suggestion, especially going with the alt-rock/metal theme that intros have at Sox Park...

Junkhead - Alice in Chains

"What's my drug of choice? Well what have you got? I won't go broke. And I do it a lot."

Fits with the star doing drugs angle, even though weed ain't heroin and Geo won't end up in a casket because of it.

And FYI, Smoke On The Water is a song about Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention's whole rig/setup getting burned as a result of some bimbo firing a flare gun when Deep Purple was on the same bill. It has nothing to do with drugs.

Wow, someone who actually listens to lyrics, I love it. Smoke on the water absolutely has nothing to do with drugs. As for Puff the Magic dragon, it`s actually about a boys imaginary dragon, and also has nothing to do with smoking pot, despite what the legends insinuate. But I do love the legends, Lucy in the skies with diamonds was about a drawing by Sean Lennon, not about LSD, Along comes Mary, was not about a girl named Mary, but about Weed(Maryjane), I loved the 60`s and 70`s.:bandance:

What people read into a song is just as much what its about as what the artist's original intention.
