Not sure how much they plan to show, but we've got El Caballo's grand slam game on right now... IIRC, it's coming up this inning (Spoilers!), so tune in!

I remember that game well. We didn't have cable at the time, or at least didn't get the station it was on. I was in the basement listening to the game on radio. Ceiling is 7 feet. I heard the call and jumped in excitement. Ouch.

I was forced to leave this game after the ninth because I had to go on vacation the next day. It's nice to finally see the outcome, my 27th row seats of the upper deck wouldn't have let me see much.

Man, Garland looks about 16 years old. Great finish.

I was listening to Rooney and Farmer in my bedroom and went crazy. Carlos Lee was my favorite player for a few years.

I was working that night, when I was still a stockboy at Jewel. We had the game on in the backroom, I think when it went to extras, basically everybody but 1-2 cashiers were off the floor.

Being from the NW side, I was one of the few celebrating.

Before the Carlos Lee walk off game, they were playing the Jose Valentin walk off from 03.

That summer [and the next] I worked at the deli counter at the Treasure Island on Clybourn. Lots of fun talking with Cubs fans there.

wish they showed more games. My son is almost 9 now and was fascinated to see 'different' players on the Sox.

Flash Gordon blew up before Koch even had a chance.

My next door neighbor in Evanston at the time [they've sinced moved away and got a bigger house, as did the previous residents in that house, NBA ref Danny Crawford] was [still is, as far as I know] the manager of that store.

Ditto.

I actually said, rather loudly "Jesus!! Not freakin Billy Koch!!"

My wife reminded me that the game was 6 years old. 6 years and my gag reflex was still working strong.

Same here. My 9 year old, who is even more of a die-hard than I am, didn't know hardly any of those guys. He knew Paulie and Garland, that was about it. Of course, most of those guy were pretty forgettable.
