This guy is looking for a team after the Braves dumped on him, he's a lefty with something to prove...that is the Braves wrong. Why not take a shot on him?

Thoughts...

Is this Dennis from Peoria or whatever his name was on Mully and Hanly the other day?

Pass. We need to get younger, not older.

This team hasn't shown it can play consistent winning baseball. Glavine doesn't help us in that department.

No not Dennis.

But if looking for a pitcher...him or Freddy?

I WOULD like to see some moves made on the offensive side to help us get more consistant...but who?

Is it Michael then? Or Michael Dennis, to be precise?

First, we have enough over-the-hill arms in Freddy and Colon. Another one is not what we need. And second, in a totally meaningless statistical coincidence, both last season and his debut season, Glavine went 2-4 with a 5.54 ERA. Maybe its fate's way of wrapping things up nicely.

Only if Glavine would be our closer, and if we can trade Konerko and Floyd for the rights to Stephen Strasburg.

The Sox should bring Glavine in as their closer! (Accroding to Michael Dennis)

I wonder if Brett Farve can pitch. Maybe we can lure him from the Vikings.

Let's get Steve Avery and Denny Neagle while we're at it.

You guys just have no vision. That's why this team stinks.

And he'll win 30 games a year for the next ten years!

It was really hilarious. I had to go back and listen to it again. It's about a quarter of the way through this segment:

NO, because he is an over-rated has been who would have been hard pressed to win 100 games if he had pitched in the American League

I'll semi agree about the "has been" part, because he is old. But this?

My favorite memory is the 9 hits he allowed in the 92 AllStar game

The A.L. chewed him up that night. He wasn't getting the pitch that was ten inches OFF the plate called a strike like he did for his entire weak ass national league soft tossin lollipoppin Career.

not sarcasm, the NL is a complete joke and has been for most of his career

Right, because facing a lineup filled with the most talented hitters for a couple innings is a great way to evaluate how a 2 time Cy winners, with 2 runner up finishes would have fared in the AL. GMAB big time.

That is not how I evaluate him, I said its my favorite Glavine memory

For some reason my favorite Glavine memory was his first start with the Mets. I remember watching that game from my dorm room on ESPN, and he got shelled by the Cubs in an eventual 15-2 game. Even though the Cubs beat him, I kind of was glad he got beat bad in his first start after signing with the Mets, and I'm not really sure why.

It's these negative idiots on WSI that make me want to move out of my tower on the North Side. I am with you TS. Tom Glavine has so much potential!

Yeah, I remember turning it off when Bernstein said JD was just a BAD outfielder.
