Too bad. Especially because he has been good recently including a complete game shutout May 24th.

Well, he has just fell apart ever since they traded him away. It's a shame.

That's kind of a bummer. I was kind of happy to see him finally pitching decent and healthy again.

Didn't he have a very similar injury develop after the Rangers first acquired him? I don't have anything against McCarthy, but he is just way too fragile to be a starter, I don't know if it is his figure or his mechanics, or what, but it's a shame to see such a talented young player be so sidetracked by injuries.

Sorry he's injured...
Ultimately, pitching is a fragile commodity.
It's too bad about McCarthy. I remember hearing from people raving about McCarthy after seeing him in Birmingham.

Tolja he had the Mark Prior motion 3 years ago. Does it every time.

when ever I watched him pitch for the sox, he did not pitch from his legs. and if he does not change he will continue to keep on having issues. that said I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

He's a real good guy, and I'm sorry to hear this happened to him.

I think he has been the only Sox player to ever personally post on these boards at one point. Props to him for actually reaching out to the fans.
I wish him the best. It's really sad how his career has been so ravaged by injuries.
