This thread title leaves alot to be desired.

Also, this offense needs a tuneup.

Too bad that BA felt ill. Wise's at bat in the 9th was even more nauseating.

Is the easiest money in the world tomorrow on the A's? Another first time starter.

Me, neither. What new? 1-6 against rookie pitchers, according to Hawk.

Light-headedness. Word is he has the bug that's been going around the clubhouse.

This is becoming embarrassing. Do we not have scouts and a hitting coach. It doesn't matter what kind of rookie you throw out there, we simply can't hit them. There is another rookie lefty on the mound tomorrow so i am prepared for another long day. We possibly could go 1-3 at home against one of the worst teams in the majors. Atleast buehrle is on the bump!

For the record, Brett Anderson is their best pitching prospect.

It really is amazing. Even when we get on top of them early they find a way to shut us down the rest of the way.

The only real surprise is they scored three runs off that guy. Our cup runneth over.

Yes he is. It doesn't matter though. Best pitching prospect or worst pitching prospect, the Sox can't hit them!

What sucks is Detroit and the other teams that are in the hunt would win 3 of 4 vs Oakland and all we can do is hope for a split. I just hope we fare better against Cleveland and Detroit and then mop up with the NL.

Has Beckham seen their pitcher in the minors? That's our only shot.

Haha, watch him go 4-4 with 5 RBIs...if the Sox could friggen get on base.

That pretty much sums it up. Inconsistent. This team is the Ottawa Senators of baseball.

I am glad I went out with the fiancee tonight instead of watching this crap at home. Had a much better time with her, then I would have watching this. Beckham being called up though, is interesting news.

Thankfully the tigers and twins also stunk tonite.
I had a bad feeling about this series. A's have done this to the sox at soxpark before.
Get'em tomorrow,Sox...is it as simple as the tempature being above 70?
In KC and at the Angels..warm..sox hit.
Back to chicago...cold..cold bats.

I don't know if this is good though. Come September and October it gets cold.

Hopefully the Sox can play a little more consistently, because we can win this division, and we can win the World Series.:o:

Win the World Series? I think that this team should aspire to that, no doubt...but I would have to hold off on that much optimism, dude. Stop drinkin' the kool aid.

Hmm, I can see the Sox' strategy...

The A's are pitching pitchers the Sox have never seen, so the Sox are countering with calling up hitters the A's defense has never seen! It reeks of genius!

:hawk "That's dadgum right!"

Soxfandy:

I've asked about your question on the advanced scouting and have been told from numerous sources that it's not Bryan Little and his people.

Regardless of how little a kid has pitched they have the information for the Sox hitters. They get the info...something is happening after they get the info and when they step into the box.

My opinion? The Sox have far to many of the same type of hitters in the lineup, up and down -- swing hard, swing at anything and hope you hit it.

"Home Run or nothing..."

This stuff is too funny. All year long, Outman (http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/players/player/gamelogs/2009/1447030) has yet to yield more than three earned runs in an appearance (9 starts, 2 relief). By WSI logic, this means that the Mariners, Blue Jays, Yankees, Royals, Rays, Diamondbacks, and Rangers all play Walkerball against the scum-laden A's.

Walkerball: more virulent than swine flu.

What angers me a little is the fact that the Sox could have made up so much ground during this series but at best we might only be 2.5 games out instead of .5. Well, I should not be one to complain, if the Sox win today they will have made up 1.5 game over a 4 game stretch. Everything takes time and patience.

Go White Sox!
