Apparently its not just the White Sox Vicente Padilla has issues with. Story goes 1st 2 at bats Texiera had against Padilla he took him yard. The 3rd at bat nailed TEX. Yesterday Padilla pitched against the Yanks. 1st 2 at bats he drilled Texiera again. The next half of the inning Burnett threw at Cruz's head. When will Padilla realize his gutless cowardly ways are gonna get his hitters killed?

IIRC, Buck Showalter on Baseball Tonight last night mentioned how Padilla is the type of pitcher where if there is a base open with a hitter he doesn't want to face up at the plate, he'll just hit him. I guess it cuts down on his walk total.

I would just love to see a big guy charge the mound and kick his sorry ass.

It was really dumb to hit him in the 4th. It loaded the bases, and by the end of the inning, the Yankees were up 9-3.

Probably when one of his hitters gets drilled, gets P.O.'ed about it puts Padilla through a locker after the game.

He's only been HBP twice in his career, most recently in 2003. He has probably forgotten that it doesn't feel so good. Exhibit A for Dumping the DH IMO.

Did I miss something? Padilla drills texiera twice and nothing happens. Burnett throws at but misses a Ranger and gets a 6 game suspension?

Who cares if putting people on base hurts the team? Throwing at people is a great way to show what a man you are.

Anyone see Peter Gammons going nuts over how ridiculous this was? Hilarious.

What did he say?

http://espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=nyy

It's the 3rd or 4th video down in the list. He said he wonders if anyone in MLB has ever actually been around a baseball game, and they don't understand what they are doing suspending Burnett and not disciplining Padilla at all.

If that's what he said, great for him. Padilla keeps getting away with this ****, and the MLB rules are largely to blame. Bull****.
