Four runs in the top of the first. You may call me shallow, but I am glad. It serves the gutless wonder right. It's too bad that MLB doesn't have a team in Hawaii. That would be a great venue for him.

They clarified his statement today, let it go. Still an outside chance he comes to Chicago. Probably just wants to see if anyone will bite on his 22 mil option

Per mlb.com, he exited after the 1st with flu-like symptoms.

And the winner of that game is likely to be Antonio Bastardo....

What an awesome name. I want that Bastardo on my teamo!

Sheeeeesh. Let it go! He didn't want to move, didn't want to change teams. He's a good enough player to have negotiated a No Trade Clause, he has a right to exercise it.

The Sox are a .500 team right now, its not like he turned down the one and only opportunity he'll ever have to get a ring.

Nice to see how shallow White Sox fandom is that Jake Peavy has become the poster boy for White Sox hatred.

Are you kidding? If he grew up here (which he probably didn't, I'm assuming), he would resent that name untill the end of time. I know I would. Still, I wouldn't mind him pitching for the Sox. I would have fun with it. :D:

Lighten up, people, it's sports, one of the few venues left were you can vent raw emotions, like hatred. I'm sure Jake Peavy is a nice guy, but in the baseball world, I do hate him. 100%, no questions asked, I hope he loses every game for the rest of his career. It's not like I'm going to go stalk him or whatever, sports just offers a healthy vent for more primal urges so they don't manifest themselves in real life.

Now, of course, if he accepts the deal to the Sox later on, we're cool again. Until then, **** you, Jake Peavy. **** you.

*GASP* How dare you inject levity to these proceedings, you sad, sad, bitter Sox fan. You make me sick to my tender tummy. I'm going to plug my nose, turn it up, and walk away before you befoul my pure soul with your lowlifeness.

100% with Doublem in this case. Though, I don't want Peavy on the team anymore. Even if he were to accept. I'm not a fan of sloppy seconds or whatever.

Technically yes, as it is reported it happened running the bases.

Technically yes, as it is reported it happened running the bases.

The injury happened on May 22 - one day after rejecting the Sox trade. So, it didn't take long at all before staying in the NL bit him in the ass.

You know, he could've hurt himself running the bases during an interleague game.
