Quietly, the New York Yankees have found themselves a ½ game out of first place behind the Boston Red Sox coming into today's action. I guess reports of the Yankees' demise, at this juncture, have been greatly exaggeratted.

Further proof that ANYONE with a pulse could manage the Yankees. They have so much talent and so many steroid cheats, that you'd have to go out of your way to **** it up.

April-early May: start pulling a white sheet over the Yanks.

Late May-September: We're the Goddamn Yankees, get out of our way. We have 27 or so World Series rings!

I'm just glad we usually play them tough each year.
