Didn't miss out on any big name pitchers.

They absolute crushed the Angels.

Everyone was hitting even Getz and Fields. Pods and BA too.

Oh and TCQ's injury wasn't that bad...

Nice to score the next 14 runs

Agreed. They have to start winning on the road if they want to even get above .500, which should be their first goal.

What a massacre.

We can score like that every game. Nice start to this road trip let's keep this up White Sox. Great to see everybody contributing especially Pods and The Missile. Awesome to see Rockin Robin on the bench too.

Good stuff tonight. Danks struggled his way through six, but kept them off the board after the first. Obviously, nothing but good things to say about the offense.

The Sox actually have a +7 run differential this past week, even including the 20-1 debacle. A solid 5-2 record in those games too.

If Hawk is GM, AJ can't play LF because LF is reserved for our five-tool BA, and of course CF is reserved for the next Rickey Henderson Carlos Gomez.

The way he pulled up, it looked like it might be a hamstring injury. Having struggled with plantar fascitis before, I know how nagging and painful it can be but hamstring problems are always worse.

I admit I talked a little bit of **** about Podsednik in the lineup thread before the game started, but he looked very good at the plate tonight. He was hitting line drives all over the field. Then again, so were the other nine guys.

Let's also not forget another good appearance by Carrasco. I know we were up by 14, but he came in and threw strikes while being extremely effective. He also stopped the bleeding in the 21-1 game. Although he's basically just long relief/mop up duty, he is very valuable to this pen.

Pods walking forward in the box seems to help him.

I thought it looked like the foot for sure. He immediately took his weight off it.

Let's keep it up all week.

We moved from Chicago to California about 3 weeks ago - have been missing our Sox very much. We were SO looking forward to going to the game today. WOW, it was AWESOME!!! There were a ton of Sox fans in our section (behind the Sox dugout). It was a lot of fun to be at this game - reminded me of the Sox/Rockies game we were at in Denver in June of 2005 which was a total blowout as well. I can't wait to see the Sox again when they come to Anaheim in September - this time it will be a weekend series so we hope to go to at least two games.

A Sox win means a happy me. If they win 4 on this road trip I will be even happier. Come on Sox, lets get back into contention and lets take this thing all the way.

I will not lose faith in this team until the final out of game 162 (assuming we are in the playoff picture). Every year is our year, and I think this team can do it.

Lets go White Sox!!!!!

:bandance::bandance:

That's what impressed me most about the game. It was the first game of a roadtrip -- in California, no less -- following a a heartbreaking loss.

I didn't expect the Sox to continue to score against the bullpen. Really, there was a point where the additional runs didn't matter. People will no doubt complain the next time the Sox lose a close game that they didn't save some of those runs for when they needed them. Of course, it doesn't work that way.

Great game all around...Quentin needs to go on the DL to rest that foot and get therapy. Hope they can go at least 4-2 on the trip.

Craig Monroe of the Pirates is a genius, said the Sox are too good of a team to keep hitting like they were. I wonder if there is anything else he can pass along.
Lets hope this is the start of something big.

That was a fun game. I don't know if Carlos needs to go on the DL or not, but a couple of days rest would do him a world of good I would imagine. Still, we're not out of the woods yet, let's keep piling up these wins.

This was a great way to start the trip and in my mind, it was a must win if you want to take the series. We are facing two pitchers in the next two games that are very tough on us in Joe Saunders and Jarrod Weaver. I feel good about taking one of those two games but not both. Although if the offense hits like this all series, it may not matter who is on the hill for the Halos.

Some observations:
-Pods was hotter than donut grease last night
-Jermaine Dye's home run might still be in orbit. He didn't miss a stitch of that baseball
-Danks had no command of his change up and was missing his cutter quite a bit but still gutted through 6 innings. You have to tip your cap to his effort though.
-Quentin's injury has me worried that this is going to linger all season long. I'm starting to wonder if he will be able to play LF consistently with those gimpy feet.

Great win to start the trip - White Sox will face a tough pitcher tonight in Saunders. But we can hope for another win against the Angels.
