Looks like it will be Minnesota against the Hoosiers tonight. Minnesota leads OSU 8-4 in the 7th in their semifinal game. If IU wins tonight, they win the double elim title and a trip to the NCAA tourney. A Minnesota, or OSU win pending a comeback in this game, sets up game 2 for the title tomorrow.

HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOSIERS!!!

I watched some of the tournament. A pretty tight four-team race in the Big Ten this year with tOSU, Indiana, Illinois and Minnesota.

Indiana was swinging hot bats this weekend and won decisively.

Watching college baseball is very painful.

I prefer it in small doses, couple innings here, couple innings there.

There's really too much offense. It makes for long games.

I just wish they would ditch the aluminum bats.

Oh I hear you. I sat around BTN for the last four days waiting for games to end. Get a freakin' out once in a while.

I agree. You really have to know someone on the team to really get into it.

Hearing the sound of a baseball hitting off an aluminum bat does not sound right.

North Dakota High School baseball= Wood Bats.:bandance:

I have a Maple Bat that I have had over 200 plate appearances with over the last couple of years. No break yet amazingly, but lots of scratches and scuffs on it.

I used to hate the ping of metal bats. But I still play baseball, and I haven't hit with a wooden bat since 1995. I've come to enjoy the sound of a metal bat on a well-hit ball.

I covered IU baseball as a photographer for the IDS back in the day (about three decades after Ted Kluzewski played for the Hoosiers). I'm happy to read of their title and wish them the best in the College World Series.
