First series win of the month, if you don't count the one game against the Tigers.

Let's keep kicking the Twins while they are down and jump ahead of them in the standings tomorrow!

He doesn't have to do anything. His mere presence on the club produces wins!

That 4th inning was reminiscent of 2005 Ozzieball....a two-run homer and a grandslam with some decent at-bats sandwiched in between. Never give up on the longball.

Yep. I feel the same way. We always seemed to have a big inning a game that year.

Alexei, I forgive you for your absolutely moronic, boneheaded, stupid, senseless, completely idiotic error in the fourth inning only because we overcame it and won the game. I just can't be angry after winning two games in a row. But, please keep your head in the game next time.

Were all of Danks' runs earned? Because if they were (I didn't see the game) that was not a particularly good outing.

Only 2 of the 4 were earned. It was a pretty good outing. He had them whiffing on a lot of good fastballs.

Keep hatin'. Without him they're in danger of getting swept again.

Wow. What part of 0-8 at the plate did you glean that large generalization from?

It ain't hatin' it's reality... Brian looks awful at the plate, but he's coming back from an injury that affects his swing, so I'll cut him some slack for now.

Regardless, I'm glad he's back. Certainly better and more calming than playing Lillibridge or Nix in the OF, and Pods is back to his familiar position while Quentin is out.

Besides, the Sox beat the Twins, what can be better than that?

I've maintained the feeling that the offense would be okay and get the job done. There are still problems in the rotation, however. Gavin needs to turn around his season quick, and we're going to need Jose to do the same before I'll start believing this team can go somewhere again.

Exactly. There's too many good hitters in this lineup for it to be dormant all year. Now the starters are another question.

You're WAY too close to this situation. You need to step back and walk away...

Nice win. 7 runs... 7 hits... lots of long ball. I love it. Play to your strengths guys. Bunting sucks. Hitting behind guys sucks. Getting picked off but stealing the base anyway rocks! Sliding into third as the coach is frantically waving you home, getting up and scoring anyway because you're ridiculously fast rocks! Making an error that ends up costing your team 2 runs but then coming back to make a real nice play to end the game is cool.

Every player save BA and Pods either scored or drove runs in. I don't know it that's good or bad. One of them has to play when TCQ gets healthy...

I totally called the JD slam. When he was up at the plate, I was thinking "I think JD hits a grand slam here." Sure enough, he did.

Great series win. Nothing would please me more than to have sole possession of third place by tomorrow evening.
