Unbelievable game tonight. Buerhle is looking to have a great season so far. Hopefully Ozzie lighted a fire under Contreras and he gets it done tomorrow. C'mon, we need at least a 10 game winning streak! Go Sox!

Great effort - we needed that win in the worst possible way.

Very nice win. That felt great. As my 7 year old said the other day - "now that I'm in Little League, will I have a regular position - you know, like how Mark Buehrle always pitches?" If only he always pitched!

Talk to our other horses: Floyd, Danks, Colon, and Contreras. Tell them what you are doing. Apparently, you are keeping some pitching secrets from them.

I guess leadership by example. But, honestly, Buehrle we need you to coach this guys. OK, I am desperate for more good starting pitching. Solid starting pitching wins division.

Didn't they used to play the Blues Brothers version of 'Sweet Home Chicago'?

Buehrle rules. You had to know if one guy was going to break it up though, it would be Polanco.

The outing by Mark is exactly what we needed to cool things off a bit with how bad we have been playing. Maybe the guys can feed of this and pick it up.

How about Nix, showed me a lot with the glove today.

I like him.

I was focused on the hockey game tonight, switching over to the Sox between periods and during commercials. Everytime I turned over and saw Burls on the mound, he seemed to have two outs and nobody on base. That's normally a pretty damn good sign.

The Sox are 6-0 in Mark's starts this year. I guess his shoulder is healthy enough to pitch, huh?

That was a sweet looking stroke on the homerun. He should start as long as he continues to play well.

He looked good, but I'd still rather have a red hot Alexei than Nix. He did a good job but it's one game and I have serious doubts about his arm.

At least he's proving himself to be a capable MLB infielder which means we can get rid of Lillibridge or Betemit (probably Lillibridge) once BA is ready to come back. Seriously, the thought of both of them getting PT every week makes me want to hurl.

Nix kind of reminds me phsically of Ron Cey..short legs long torso.
That first inning outburst by JD,PK and AJ was huge.
Now, lets start playing some ball.
Oh..MB...you look marveloussss.

Had Nix not gotten injured during spring training, Lillibridge never makes the team, right?

Most likely.

Pretty sure Lillibridge will be sent to the Minors once BA is back. There is a reason Nix was playing Shortstop in his rehab assignment.

No doubt. But at least he has showed with his play here in one week that he is a capable ML player. Betemit and Lilibridge are only capable of sucking. Nix can play with a good glove anywhere in case someone gets hurt.

He doesn't try to do too much which is why he is pretty short and quick. His smooth glove is what has me even more giddy. Wish he had a stronger arm, but I think it's good enough.

Well, sometimes I don't know how Mark Buehrle does it, but he is one of this team's beating hearts. He probably is the least talented, but relies on his guts, instinct, and strategy to get things rolling. I'll always respect him. He wins games, and that's the point.

I believe that his arm is regarded as being a plus. He's a former shortstop and prep pitcher. That throw he made Sunday night was evidence of that. Remember the one he made while suspended in air? It was the one that Betemit dropped at first. He has at least an average arm for short, and a significantly better than average arm for second.

I was thinking listening to the game last night that if the White Sox are going to jump from being a slightly above .500 team to a 90+ wins team this year it will take at least one more player added to the mix that is not in the picture right now...maybe Nix is that player? He seems to bring a little life to the chemistry of the team.
