Or my #27 Fields jersey? Why doesn't he just go back to that?

Maybe he doesn't like it? That number was assigned to him.

You should never buy the jersey of a rookie that's called up in the middle of the year. Don't make that mistake if Beckham gets called up this year.

What will Jerry Owens wear when he gets called up again??? That's the question of the day. :redneck

He was halfway decent with that number. Plus 7 reminds me of Owens and Manuel.

That's for the Mariners to decide.

I wonder if anyone bought a #15 Frank Thomas jersey in 1990???

I wonder if anyone bought a #15 Frank Thomas jersey in 1990???It wouldn't have had his name on the back, so you could just tell everybody it's a Donnie Hill jersey

The trib said he was compensated...I wonder what Pods paid him....

I know a few years ago when Thomas was with the Jays he had a painting done of one of his teammates kids to "pay" for the number 35...

This whole number problem is obviously why the Sox played so bad on their road trip. Now that this is cleared up, we should start playing some better ball.

So, Thomas drew a few stick figures and traded it for #35?

Personally, I don't like the number 7, BUT I'm hoping it works out for Josh.

Is #33 still available for when we re-acquire Rowand? That's what I want to know.

It's been unofficially retired for him.

I just hate how it seems they recycle the same few numbers all the time. I know there are some retired and unofficially retired numbers, but I would prefer some time from when player A leaves the team to when player B has that number.

I'll laugh if Podsednik starts sucking with the #22.
Now what's Josh going to do when we bring back Timo Perez?

I am pretty sure, when pitchers get called up, they usually take numbers in the 50's and if those are taken 60's. As for hitters, IDK.

That's why my Sox Jersey doesn't have a number or a last name on it, which turned out to be a good choice since I almost bought an Ordonez jersey instead

Carl Everett ditched #27 for #8, right?

#27 sure isn't popular with our mediocre power hitters (no offense, Crazy Carl).

No not Vazquez, he didn't show the fire and the passion.
