It used to be Johan then C.C. but now Zack Greinke is the pitcher that will terrorize the AL Central.

Good for him though, he was having psychological problems not that long ago and now he's gotten it together. And he did it without Coop's help!

Let that jinx kick in. Five, four, three, two.....

I know Posnaski is admired, but having a hometown writer do such a national piece seems lame.

Give him a break. He hasn't had a chance to do a hometown story on the Royals since.....

....I'm still thinking.

I'm not sure that there is a writer who bring more mush and fuzzies to stories than JoePo.

I used to live in KC and we would often have email exchanges over his homerisms vs. my love for the Sox.

Good to great writer, just overly sentimental.

Greinke's comeback is a great story. I remember when he was having his problems, many on this board wanted the Sox to try to pry him loose from the Royals.

He's definitely an odd-ball. He has pretty much said he wish he hadn't gotten the cover, due to the attention he knew he would get for it.

SI... he has nothing to worry about. He's doing great; good for him.

Hawk had been hyping him for years. I remember that many on this board used to give Hawk crap for hyping Greinke. I guess Hawk was right on this one.

Happens all the time with SI. I'm sure cost cutting has something to do with it.

Well, Posnanski does double-dip with SI. Aside from still being a local writer in Kansas City, he does regularly write for SI.

I drafted him this year and last year in fantasy baseball. He is dominant.

Unfortunately, we face him next Monday

Yeah and it's in KC where he dominated us last year. I'm not a dark cloud but that doesn't bode well for us.

Kid's having a good year. Let him enjoy it. If he dominates the Sox on Monday, so be it. At least he's a known commodity.

I remember watching him dominate the Sox in a game in mid-late 2004 and was like "My God, this kid is gonna be awesome".

Then he fell off the radar. Then it was revealed about his anxiety disorder.

Good to see a guy with talent like that get his head back together.

Maybe we should have sent MacDougal to his shrink.
