Do many of you ride your bike to the games? It is very easy and safe, but the Sox need to put out more bike racks. Today the racks on 35th were full and the only other ones are down the lot along the park that I know of. If you ride to games please e mail Brooks.

We have done that a handful of times. I think we have used a lightpole on a couple of those occassions because the racks were full.

I think there's a bunch of racks by the entrance to the stadium club. Prob can't get in that way but it's not far to gate 2 from there.

My friend rode in on Friday and locked up there. There was all kinds of space for his bike, and he entered through gate 3.

Those racks are full early if the weather is nice. Friday would of been a rough ride with that wind.

He rode pretty regularly last season (usually tagged along for summer games) and never had any issues.

There are some fences to the south gate three that you could probably lock up on.

I believe the Cubs created some sort of bike-friendly lot recently, and it certainly wouldn't be a bad (or expensive) thing for the Sox to look into doing.

i believe the cubs is actually a bike valet that looks like a coat check. we'd never come close to getting the amount of people riding to the game but an extra few racks certainly wouldn't hurt, especially for how cheap it'd be.

I can't recommend riding to the games more. (http://www.illinoisbicyclelaw.com/)

I live in the West Loop (I'm neighbors with Ozzie) and if I "gun it" I can get to the Cell in 15-20 minutes. From the Loop, the best route is to go down the bike lane on Halsted to Bridgeport. You can cut down 26th-31st street and then go through the residential area where it is less congested than Halsted. When you pop out on 35th street, it's an easy couple of blocks to the ballpark. I park in the bike racks near on the south side of the stadium. I'd also like to see more bike racks around the stadium. I'm going to email the White Sox and I'll see what I can find out.

There are also very nice bike racks inside the 35th street "L" station. And there's always empty spots when I'm going to games.

I think they're inside the turnstiles, so maybe that's not the best option, unless you don't mind paying $4 to get in and out...
