Anyone know how the team travels? Do they have their own plane? Just curious.

They all imagine the greatness that is Rowand, and they are teleported to either their next town....or a gentlemen's club.

Segways, with Ozzie leading the flying-wedge formation. Hermie leads the rookies on a tow line.

As of last year, the team traveled by private charter with the planes provided & operated by United Airlines. Most major league sports teams have similar private charter deals with airlines, although a few own & operate their own planes (I've seen several of them at the Midway FBO when I've flown into there).

Hey, the OP asked a serious question. There's no need to joke around.

When Hawk was GM he started to have the team travel by Hangliders however this became a major issue when traveling to the west coast.

According to Carol Slezak, they travel via the Girls Gone Wild Bus and play with blow up dolls.

They're usually pretty good travelers. JR, KW, and Oz don't get too many "are we there yet?" questions. Every once in a while, Ozzie has to shout to the back of the bus that he's going to "turn this thing around right now and go back home" if the players don't "knock it off."

Most of the players have either a Nintendo DS or a portable DVD player to keep them occupied. That usually helps keep most of the shouting and whining down to a minimum.

This is hilarious. I just had to wipe ginger ale off my monitor.

By the way love the dancing Calvin and Hobbes.

Ozzie marches them on like a company and doesn't stop screaming or dropping expletives until they get there.

The EnterpriseYes, but they use CVN-65, not NCC-1701. And if they did use NCC-1701, it would be just 1701, no bloody A, B, C, or D.

Obligatory Seinfeld Reference....

George: (To Keith Hernandez) You know Keith, what I've always wondered is that with all these ball clubs flying around all season wouldn't you think there'd be a plane crash?...

(Jerry gives George a horrified look)

George:...But think about it...26 teams, 162 games a season, you'd think eventually an entire team would just get wiped out.

In the early 80's the Sox plane had to make an emergency landing in Iowa. It was a scary close call.

They all ride in Mark Buehrle's truck.

(edit)
Insert joke about Bartolo having to ride on a flatbed truck.
