I understand the desire to provide closed captioning for the hearing impaired, but this seems dickish.

This reminds me of a photo of two cars wedged together inside a toll booth because neither driver wanted to let the other go through first.

Only in New York.

Yes. I use it as Exhibit A with my NY-native colleagues to show how crazy they can get. None of them have a defense for this.

I thought the video board was kinda funny.

LOL!

I don't see the need for that much detail on a stadium screen. As someone who relies on CC to watch movies and TV I rarely pay much attention during sporting events preferring to watch the plays themselves.

Kind of remeinds me when I went and watched the movie Signs (I have no idea why - it was the captioned movie that was available that week and I wanted to see a movie I guess) and all through the movie the captions kept reading "dramatic music". After the 10th time I started to giggle. Kind of ruined the movie for me. No change that. The movie sucked the captions made it funny...

Reading the news stories today in the local paper saw some interesting comments from Yankee fans in the upper part of the stadium.

They were really upset that the seats have no backs, they can't see the scoreboard in left field and apparently (get this) the Yankees chain the walkways during the 7th inning rendition of God Bless America and refuse to let fans leave their seats!

Apparently a guy who had to go to the bathroom last season has sued the team and the suit is now on the court's docket.

It's got to be hard for you to watch scary movies. Most of the drama and tension build up is in the music.

I mean just think about the classic Psycho scene with the "REE REE REE" playing in the background.

This is really ridiculous.

If I were ever to go to a Yankees game, I would intentionally buy a ticket in the last row of a section, and then jump over the back of my seat during the song just to dare the this sanctimonious clubs' security guards to arrest me.

The sad thing is, the Yankees are doing this precisely so they look "classy" to braindead morons who buy into their garbage. Of course, these are the same people who honestly think Derek Jeter is a good defensive shortstop.

"God Bless America" is not even our national anthem, the actual one which by the way never gets this level of respect in any stadium! Save the reverence for our country for before the game, not during it. GBA was originally done to honor those who died on 9-11, and did its job, but should have been retired as soon as the 2001 postseason ended. What's the point of the 7th inning stretch when they don't even give you enough time to actually stretch?! I'll take the mediocre celebrities singing it at the Urinal over this nonsense.

It would be far more cruel had they chained the exits in today's 14 Cleveland run second inning.

"PHENOMENAL"

I wonder if they typed up, "[Crowd boos]", as Chien-Meng Wang was walking off the field during the 2nd inning? Or if they displayed his ERA was/is currently 34.50?

Please don't post that *******'s picture on these boards, if not for your sake, then for mine. Seriously, I just want to punch him in the face.

So what's with all the freakin' billboards? I know it's a revenue source but what they are doing is just RIDICULOUS. It's so cluttered, it looks terrible.

I guess that's the price you pay to not have your stadium "sullied" by selling the naming rights.
