View Full Version : Our old buddy Brandon McCarthy...

He's pitching tonight for Texas against Baltimore. I'm watching the game now and he is looking much like the guy from September 2005. If he keeps this up, he might actually produce some value for Texas. He is getting it up there about 93-94.

I always liked Brandon, and think that he can still be a good pitcher in this game if he can straighten out from the injuries and his funky mechanics.

You could never doubt his desire. Guys like that can never be counted out.

Good luck to him, but he'll never be as good as Johnny Danks.

Shhh......you don't want to scare other GM's about trading young pitching to us do you?

Good for him. I've never believed in hoping traded players fail as many do.

Okay, I'm a liar. I have to admit I wanted to Sosa to crater, and I wasn't crushed when Belle cost the O's all that money for one or two decent seasons. :o:

I'm pulling for Brandon to put it all together, but someone please buzz me when he makes 10 starts in a row.

Brandon just needs to gain some weight IMO. His pitches are good enough for him to stay around, his only real problems are injuries and durability.
